Hurricane panels installed on SE 5th Place

A couple in the Southeast Cape (33904) consulted with Screen Doctor for affordable options to protect their windows and doors in case of severe storms. Since both husband and wife are able-bodied people, we recommended lightweight, aluminum hurricane panels. We installed user-friendly "H" shaped tracks next to each window and door. Then we taught the homeowners which panels belonged to each opening and how to mount them with bolts and wing nuts before a hurricane comes. Typically panels are mounted on the exterior of windows. But they can be mounted on the interior if desired.

Hurricane shutters installed SW 28th Terrace

Clients of ours in SW Cape Coral 33914 chose to make their home like Fort Knox in case of a hurricane. They hired the Screen Doctor to fabricate and install three different types of storm protection.

  1. Bahama shutters on the front, sides, and rear of their home.
  2. Accordion shutters inside the patio area.
  3. Hurricane screens inside their front door and patio.

Our clients especially like the fact that Bahama and accordion shutters take minutes to close, unlike hurricane panels (though less expensive) which can take up to several hours to erect.

Hurricane screen allows them to see outside their front door which is impact resistant. Moving poolside patio furniture is a cinch now that they have hurricane screen. This keeps them from having to bring everything inside their home.
